Flame retardent reflective fabric is a specially woven material that has the ability to reflect light and heat. This fabric can be used in many different applications and is often used in industrial situations where fire safety is an important consideration.

The fabric has been tested under strict standards and it is able to withstand temperatures of up to 1000 degrees Celsius. The type of tests used will vary depending on the specific application for which the fabric is being used for, but in general terms, it will be tested with flame retardant chemicals and then exposed to an open flame for at least 30 seconds without igniting.

The common standard test for this type of material is NFPA 2112, NFPA 1971.

The main purpose of this type of material is to reduce the chances of a fire starting or spreading by reflecting heat back into its source so that it cannot get hot enough to ignite flammable materials around it. It does this by using micro glass beads on the surface that reflect light back towards its source rather than allowing it to pass through them as transparent materials do.

This can be very beneficial in certain situations where there are high temperatures present such as welding equipment, furnaces or even gas stoves where there may be flammable gases being produced as well.
